The Stem Cell Unit’s stem cell biobank serves the storage and provision of iPS cell lines or derivates thereof, generated from patients with suspected mono- or polygenetic diseases as well as from (healthy) individuals without clinical symptoms. It is a resource for the scientific research into both widespread and rare diseases. In recent years, more than 100 donor samples including samples of different bodily origin were successfully reprogrammed into iPS cells. A regularly updated overview of available, characterised iPS cell lines can be found in our iPS cell registry.
iPS cell lines and iPS cell derivatives can be provided for research projects upon request. For this, the guidelines specified in the terms of use are to be observed. We gladly discuss more detailed information with interested users.
